Wheelchairs
There is full wheelchair access to the front door of the pub. It is always advisable to phone us first, so that we can make sure that your visit is perfect.
Children & Minors
The Rattlebone is a grown-up’s pub, especially in the evening. We welcome children in the pub, away from the bar up until 7pm, although they can use the outside areas of the pub at all times as long as they remain under parental control. Children over 14 may be accompanied by adults (at our discretion) if they are eating a meal in the restaurant. We do have some high chairs on request. We do not have a specific children’s menus, but can make smaller versions of some of our dishes.
Dogs
We welcome our furry friends in the public bar, but prefer to keep them out of the restaurant areas. There is a dog’s bowl available on request!
Bookings & Service
We do take bookings. We operate table service in the saloon and no-smoking areas of the pub. In the public bar and gardens, please come to the bar to order food. Unfortunately, because all our food is freshly made on the premises, we do request a pre-order for parties over 10 people.
Functions & Parties
We can accommodate these either in the back restaurant (seats 40), skittle alley (seats 40) or in the back garden. Our policy is that we can do anything that you would like – from curries, to ‘carve your own roasts’, to hot and cold buffets to full 3 course a la carte menus. We can also offer BBQs, hog roasts or even a giant paella outside. The best thing to do is to come up and sit down with our chefs for inspiration! Please refer to our menus page for some ideas.
Pub Activities
As well as fun board games in the public bar, we also have a fully functioning skittles alley and two boules pistes – all of which can be booked for parties.
